AGS Committee Meeting Minutes
13:00 Saturday 14th November 2009 in Keynes Seminar Room 14
Attendees: Craig Pooley (President), Hugh Attwood (Secretary), Jennifer O'Donnell (Treasurer), Dave Stibbards (Librarian), Josef Reinbold (Most Dim-witted Homo sapiens), James G (Senior Position).

Item One: Consistency
A concern about the consistency/content of weekly emails was raised, with the committee agreeing that card and board games need to be advertised, along with the usual RPG notifications.
Item Two: Membership Cards
A reminder is to be sent out, asking people to register with the society and explaining how.
Membership cards are being designed.
Item Three: Library
A request for donations was made.
It was decided that in two weeks time (28th November) the books that have been culled from the library shall be bought up to the meeting.
It shall be advertised that members will be able to buy them for a small donation to the society.
Item Four: Weekly Meetings
A concern was raised about the low number of RPGs being run, which has since been resolved.
There was a suggestion that the meeting should be reduced in frequency, taking place bi-weekly, or monthly, but it was decided that they shall remain weekly.
Suggestions were heard and approved to run seperate player and GM workshops, based around character genning, plot writing, etc, during some Saturday meetings.
An email is to be sent out requesting people to run one-off RPGs based around books held by the library, in order to create more interest.
The Friday Night games club have offered to run a wargames terrain workshop, which was gladly accepted.
A concern was raised that all committee members need to attend certain events.
Item Five: Any Other Buisness
The committee is to investigate creating more social activites for the society members to attend, including hiring minibusses to attend conventions, meals, parties, etc.
The committee decided to see how the society can work with the Socities Federation Committee in order to create better lines of communication.
GameCon: A meeting will take place on the Saturday of Week 10 (5th December) in order to begin the preperation for next years event. An invitation will be extended to the Presidents of related Socities.
Annual General Meeting: The committee decided to hold the AGM six (6) weeks into the second term.
Geekfest:The AGS have been asked by the President of the SFX Society to prepare a section for the quiz again. A suggestion for a Costume Workshop for AGS members was put forward.
Assassin/Killer: Strong objections to running this game were raised by the committee. It was decided that we would need the approval of the Union and Campus Watch before any further action.
AGS Logo Clothing: Many members expressed interest in the idea of shirts of hoodies bearing the AGS logo. Andrew Moran has offered to look into the cost and logistics.
