Louise Coulson (President), Daniel Painter (Treasurer), Matthew Skilton (Most Dimwitted Homosapien), Andy Harsent (Webmonkey), Jules "B00" Andreae (Librarian), Richard "Skimble" Bellingham (Odd Bod 3), James Galloway (Senior Member - minuting), Stephen Ogden, Sam, Joseph, Laura.
Item One - Secretary
The committee decided that as the start of term peak had passed it was not necessary to co-opt a secretary prior to elections being held for that position in two weeks time. In the interim LC and JAG will divide any secretary duties as required.
Item Two - GameCon
It was decide that the next committee meeting would focus on planning for GameCon. Representatives of SFX, Anime, NetGames and FNFFC will be invited for their input to the event.
Item Three - Tournaments
JAG was asked to provide the committee with a list of forthcoming wargames tournaments, these are as follows:
Sat 23 October - Slaughterloo (expected numbers uncertain)
Sat 20 November - Annual "Wargods" World Championship (typically 20-30 attendees; this is the biggest "Wargods" event of the year, with more attendees than the Wargods tournament at GenCon Indy)
Sat 4 December - Helldorado (JAG offers to run demos of this game at some Saturday meetings before this event)
Weekend of GameCon (29-30th Jan) - Malifaux and Warmarchine
The rest of next term is currently being planned by FNFFC; JAG will report further at the next meeting.
Item Four - Social
Bowling and meal out. Date decided on Saturday 13 November, week 7, as this avoids essay deadlines and other events. LC is to contact Icebowl and the Chom Choms restaurant about party bookings, RB to poll members on likely turnout.
Item Five - LARPing
Elton from Westgate Games is keen for us to support this more and has links to the Skullduggery LARP organisation. JAG to contact the Students Union to establish any insurance liability issues of this.
Item Six – Treasurer
DP asks about possibilities of training; advised to contact Jenn O'Donnell, our previous Treasurer, and Caroline Demetriou at the Student Activities Centre. AH offers assistance with spreadsheets.
Next Meeting
The next Committee Meeting will be on Thursday 21 October, in KS2.
