AGS Committee Meeting Minutes

13:00 Saturday 5th December 2009 in Keynes Seminar Room 14

Attendees: Craig Pooley (President), Hugh Attwood (Secretary), Jennifer O'Donnell (Treasurer), Dave Stibbards (Librarian), Josef Reinbold (Most Dim-witted Homo sapiens), James G (Senior Position), Skimble.

Item One: GameCon

The committee decided the following details about GameCon.

That there would be a forum thread discussing the name of the event. (This has since been discussed and 'GameCon: The Wrath of Con" has been selected.)

Date: Sat 20th Feb

Location: Woolf Seminar Area

Events:

Skimble has volunteered to run an 'RP' workshop, focusing on different elements during the day.

The FNFFC will be invited to participate in the wargaming.

RPGs shall be run in two rooms, both with a morning/afternoon slot. Sign-up sheets for these games will be located in the lobby.

Refreshments: The treasurer is to buy the rrefreshments and organise the petty cash. There shall be an area set aside next to the stall for people's bags, at their own risk. Jen, Craig P and Dave S have volunteered to run this stall during the day. Summaries of these games shall be asked for by the end of Week 3 (Term 2).

James G is to look after the 'Cardgames' room.

Hugh is to look after the 'Wargames' room.

Posters are to be put up, both around campus and in suitable places off campus.

It was decided that due to lack of demand, the library would not be bought out during the event.

SFX shall be asked to provide X-Boxes and games for a video gaming room.

Item Two: Any Other Buisness

The committee decided to hold the 'Annual General Meeting' on the Saturday of Wk 6 (Term 2).

The committee decided to hold the 'AGS Quiz' on the Saturday of Week 11 (Term 2).

The 10% 'Westgate Games' discount for Society members has been confirmed.
