Item One: Membership Cards
SU website is a problem for associate members. Membership cards need to be processed. Skimble will produce the membership cards for Terri and Christian to get printed to be left in Westgate games. Need to verify those on the website who are paid up. Associate members will be entitled to membership cards on faith that they will sign up when they can.
Item Two: Upcoming Events
Three meetings are to be held during the years. Last term is election meeting.
10th May - AGS quiz will be put with the last term meeting and elections. Will ask mailing list what sorts of times would be preferable. Will open the quiz out to other people.
Saturday 8th December pre Christmas party where people can sign up for the Christmas party, will include things to do. Perhaps board games? Actual Christmas party will go ahead in Easter. Both to include food.
Saturday 10th November Games Workshop 2pm. Get volunteers to speak. Perhaps create handout pack.
Board game socials – possibly to be run in Dolche Vita. First one on 20th October.
Magic – poll on who would be interested in magic tournament. If enough interest then find someone to run it.
AGS Con – poll to see about interest – what would people want at it? Potentially Spring Term.
Terri will try to build up interest to use the forums for discussion rather than the mailing list. Announcements will still go out on the mailing list.
Will organise a committee meeting for the end of this term to organise more events for next term.
Item Three: Dragon Droppings
Content, format, publication
Suggest themes when e-mailing the list for articles.
Item Four: Member Involvement/Socials
Discussed in the events.
Games running on campus should be on the list on the website whether they need players or not.
Item Five: Budget
Prizes for AGS quiz - £50, Food and drink for Christmas parties - £50
Point out the library list which is located in Westgate games. Perhaps use some of budget to get some books for the library. Ask for requests for possible purchases.
AOB:
Need to keep track of rooms that are being booked.
Next general meeting Saturday 19th January – will organise something other than just a meeting.
IRC channel available. Perhaps do a tutorial for this.
