Plot Summary

Session 1: "The Milk Run" (29th Jan '10)

37 years after the end of the Cylon War, comms officer Robert Coyler, marine Tycho Thanos, mechanic "Bear" and Doctor Harry Fly are aboard the Battlestar Thor under Cmdr. Robert Crane. "Banner Bryant" is also aboard, a member of Colonial Intelligence posing as a low-level computer technician, to monitor Cmdr. Crane, as he is notoriously dithering and slow to act.
The Thor recieves a distress signal from the freighter Sagittairon that has run into an unmapped asteroid field, damaging it's engines and leaking it's fuel. A team made up of the aforementioned player characters, two of Tycho's marine buddies, two more technicians and three more mechanics are sent in two Raptors to repair the Sagittairon.
The Raptors dock aboard the Saggitairon, and Dr. Fly immediatly gets to work helping to treat any wounded or injured. Thanos and the marines help secure the ship, Bear and the mechies go to fix the engines, and Coyler, Bryant and the techies go to fix the computer core, which they find has been damaged. Out of 6 separate cores, they managed to patch together a single working core. Meanwhile, Bear and his crew managed to patch up the damage done to the engines in the crash.
As soon as the Thor finishes refilling the freighter's fuel tanks, however, the ship suddenly jumps away to unknown space. Coyler rushes to the freighter's bridge to confront the captain, a man called Smith. However, the captain has no idea why they jumped, or where to. Coyler activates the ship's barely functioning DRADIS, revealing they'd jumped beyond the Red Line, into cylon space. There are no other DRADIS contacts, however.
The party regroups at their Raptors to consider the situation. Unable to jump back, as the bodge job done on the computer core rendered it unable to plot an FTL jump, they decide to slave the ship's FTL drive to one of the Raptor's, the one that brought them over to the Saggitairon, piloted and ECO'd by Biggs and Wedge. The systems are strung together, and the FTL jump is plotted. As the jump is initiated, however, the FTL drive in the Raptor explodes, taking Wedge with it.
Coyler investigates the core, finding that someone had put a virus that would overload any connected FTL drive, should a jump be attempted. The party decide to send the second Raptor back to the Thor. It's loaded up with Biggs and the rest of the NPCs and sent back. Soon afterwards, Captain Smith revealed 5 unknowns had appeared on DRADIS.
