After a hectic but generally successful Spring Term I feel that I have begun to settle into the attitude required not only by the position of Secretary but also as a committee member. As a member of the committee I have kept up to date on the developments within the society and also the opinions of the members. I have frequently given time to help run and organise activities, as well as using my committee position to put forward changes, such as an anonymous ballot voting system, and allowing the associate members a chance to voice their opinion at the elections this year. I have built up a good working relationship with the current committee members, and hope that this will continue throughout a second term.

As Secretary I have tried hard and succeeded on most occasions, having learnt from the few mistakes I have made. A new term would bring many benefits, as well as making the booking process easier, it will allow me to organise a system by which future Secretaries may book rooms by email. This is currently unavailable in all colleges but Darwin. Another goal is to begin the completion of the mailing list to include all members, and to ensure that it matches the member list.

I hope to continue to serve in the next year, with a focus on keeping the organisation of AGS events tight, and streamlining the duties of the position. I wish for the next year of the AGS to be as enjoyable as this one, and that the society continues to grow and develop.
