== Achievements ==

Achievements were introduced at the start of the academic year 2011/2012 (and since abandoned - this page is maintained for posterity). They are a system that allows members to gain 'xp points' which then at the end of each academic year may result in prizes. Each achievement can only be claimed once, although there are several achievements that count the number of instances of an occurance (Curious, Inquisitive and Scholar for example.) Xp points are reset at the end of each academic year. Online usage requires a forum account, but printed booklets that may be signed by a committee member are also available.

To claim an achievement and get the xp it provides requires three steps:

* Go and do something achievement worthy.
* On the forum post your supporting evidence in the 'Achievements: supporting evidence thread' that is stickied under 'General AGS chat'.
* Go to the achievements page (via the website front page or through the link at the top of the forum,) and click 'claim' next to the icon for the relevent achievement.

* Part Of The Crew - become a paid up member of the AGS - 10xp
* Welcome Face - attend at least one weekly meeting - 5xp
* Curious - take an item out of the library - 10xp
* I R Smart - write an article for Dragon Droppings at least 750 words in length - 40xp
* Play God - GM a campaign for at least 4 sessions - 30xp
* Expert - play 5 games you've never played before - 20xp
* Yarrr! - play a game with pirates as the main element - 10xp
