This week will start with our annual general meeting. We will be ratifying our updated constitution and beginning the process of our elections for the 2013/2014 AGS committee. All positions are up for grabs: Executive positions of president, secretary and treasurer positions will be open for nominations; elections will be managed online by Kent Union. The non-executive positions of Most Dim-Witted Homo Sapiens of the Year, Librarian Odd Bod, Webmonkey Odd Bod and Odd Bod #3 will be voted for on the day. All those standing for <i>all</i> positions will have an opportunity to give a short verbal manifesto followed by a short Q&A from individuals present.<br /><br />

Do you want to be a member of the committee and shape the AGS for the academic year 2013/14? Do you want to be involved in shaping GameCon next year? Is there something you'd like the AGS to do next year and you want to be right there when it happens? Then why not stand for a committee position? We'll be holding online elections for the core committee - president, treasurer and secretary - with other positions being voted at the AGM. More details are on our Facebook page.

Replacing our normal gaming activities for one week only is the AGS is our ever-popular annual quiz. As the 10th anniversary of the Quiz, expect it to be bigger and better than ever, with more prizes and entertainment than usual. Entry this year will be £2 per head, with a maximum team size of six people. Feel free to your teams in advance - we'll be strict about team sizes on the day!

Just before the quiz we will technically be holding a small Society General Meeting to elect our new committee position of Communications Officer. It should take 10 minutes or so, but please come and join the vote if you're a member (and then play in the quiz)
